The Community Pharmacy is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit pharmacy and advocacy center. The pharmacy assists uninsured Sarasota County residents who are 18 - 64 years of age in obtaining their routine prescription medication they could not otherwise afford. CPSC relies on trained community volunteers to staff its offices and pharmacy.
The Community Pharmacy dispenses and advocates for more than one million dollars’ worth of prescription medication, over the counter medications and medical supplies every year. The Pharmacy exists entirely by the generosity of local donors, foundations and corporations.

Clients must reside in Sarasota County or be referred by a partner agency.
Clients cannot have Medicaid, Medicare or Veterans Benefits or Prescription Insurance.
Clients must provide a copy of their 2011 Federal Income Tax Return.
Clients must meet income guidelines and show need.
The on-site pharmacy is open on Tuesdays and dispenses temporary, FREE in-stock medications to patients. The pharmacy also provides FREE OTC items to approved clients. Items available include Tylenol, diabetes meters and strips, cold and cough medicine, pediatric medications, adult diapers, first aid supplies, vitamins, etc.
Through our FREE patient advocacy services, we are able to assist patients in applying for help under the Manufacturer's Compassionate Care Programs, 99% of programs are FREE and medications are delivered to your physician or to your home for one year and you may re-apply year after year.
In order to receive on-site pharmacy services, your family must meet eligibility guidelines. Household size is determined by your income tax return. However, only the current last four weeks of income is used to determine eligibility, not the amount of your adjusted gross income on your tax return.
